Kadam: The Small Steps Podcast
Kadam ((कदम) Translated from Hindi, meaning “steps”), the small steps podcast was started in 2020, initially as a Covid-19 project. It was a time that disrupted lives around the world, and like many others, we too, decided to start a podcast.
Things that we had in mind when we started Kadam:
The experiences of early college graduates (Either still looking for work or in their first couple of years of work) are often overlooked.
Those that need guidance coming out of school find it hard to know what the right path forward might be.
Circumstances and opportunities present themselves unexpectedly, almost always.
5 year plans are really hard to “fall in place” so backups are essential.
It’s hard to stay happy in a time of uncertainty.
Everyone’s career story is “untraditional”.
Combining all this, our mission became to “…showcase individual perspectives of recent graduates about different pathways of life.” We wanted to ensure that people with an untraditional story knew that there were others like them, and that in the long run, everyone finds a way.
What’s Kadam about, you ask?
"A traditional career is always untraditional."
Have a listen and see for yourself:
Kadam is restarting in 2025.
This time, I’m focused on capturing stories outside of just recent graduates. Too often, I meet some incredible folks who’ve got the most amazing career stories that others can learn from; Someone needs to capture them, and if it isn’t Tim Ferriss himself, perhaps it can be me.
